We will explore the lush, rolling landscape of the Calvados region, renowned for its apple orchards and charming half-timbered houses with thatched roofs. We will share candlelit dinners, taste exquisite French wines, search for antiques, enjoy picnics, and embrace the French art of living that drew Impressionist painters to this area. Our goal is to travel more deeply than most tourists and experience the true essence of France.
Learn
Shannon and Wlady Grochowski will teach hands-on lessons to make chocolate confections and other seasonal desserts using regional ingredients. We'll take you to a Farmer's Market and show you how to shop à la français

You'll stay in a modernized 18th-century longère, reminiscent of a thatched cottage, on or near our small farm in Lower Normandy.Breathtaking views over the Norman countryside await you.The cooking retreat includes lodging, instruction, cheese & wine tastings, meals with wine, and a collection of recipes to take home with you.
